The title track of Korean pop opera singer Lim Hyung Joo’s special album entitled ‘Without You’ will be presented with scenes from ‘La Vie En Rose,’ a biographical film about the tragic life of French singer Edith Piaf.

Management company of Lim Hyung Joo said the singer, who was invited to the Korean premiere of ‘La Vie En Rose,’ was deeply moved by the love story of Edith Piaf and Marcel Cerdan and expressed his wish to use scenes from the film for the music video of ‘Without You.’ He added that the film importer agreed to Lim’s proposal.

‘La Vie En Rose’ which opened in theaters nationwide on November 22 also attracted media attention for actress Marion Cotillard’s outstanding performance.

Versatile entertainer Hyun Young is poised to debut in Japan by capitalizing on her shapely body.

Hyun Young is to release a DVD of her body-shaping techniques in Japan in spring.

But prior to that she will hold a news conference at the Hotel New Otani in Tokyo to announce her debut.

A Japanese PR firm that is organizing the news conference said the event will serve as an opportunity to publicize Hyun Young’s unique image that stands apart from other hallyu stars due to her unique voice and beautiful body.

Shooting of the latest installment of Universal Pictures’ “The Mummy” has wrapped up in Shanghai.

The film will have its world premiere next summer in Beijing, according to director Rob Cohen.

Cohen on Monday led his film cast members to meet the media in Shanghai, where last-stage filming for “The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor” has just completed.

Brendan Fraser, Maria Bello, John Hannah and Isabella Leong came directly to the wrap party from the scenes still with costumes and make-up.

The two Chinese leading cast members, Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh, were absent. Director Cohen explained they have left the entourage after completing their parts.

SEOUL, Nov. 27 (Yonhap) — South Korean actor Gong Yoo has proven to be enjoying an explosion of popularity in Japan, after a 2008 calendar featuring himself sold like hot cakes, his management agency said on Tuesday.

According to the agency SidusHQ, originally 2,000 copies of the “2008 Gong Yoo Calendar” were expected to sell, but three times that amount were ordered by Japanese fans.

More copies of the calendar are quickly being reprinted to meet the high demand.
