Aduh Saliha Delayed, Sarah Liyana Paused Her Studies

puteri sarah liyana aduh salihaAs a student in Hotel course in Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Puteri Sarah Liyana has paused her studies for Aduh Saliha.

She however was surprised with the news that the filming of Aduh Saliha has been halted for about two months.

She is very worried about the film, which will appear Mawi, whether it still will be continued or will be ended just like that.

There is a good news that there might be a continuation of the movie in March.

She must choose between her studies of acting, because there will be a semester test in April.

Tid Bids on Mallika Sherawat

mallika sherawatMallika Sherawat began year 2007 gyrating to the Turkish flavoured ‘Maiyya maiyya’ number alongside Abhishek Bachchan in ‘Guru’.

Mallika Sherawat followed this with a scorching ‘Mehbooba Mehbooba’ ‘Aap Kaa Surroor—The Moviee’ in the middle of the year.

With ‘Welcome’, she ends 2007 with her third guest appearance as she plays the role of a bombshell who spoils Akshay Kumar’s celebration with Katrina Kaif by claiming to be his fiancée.

Buzz is that even though Mallika has a small role in the film, it was so humorous that she was game for it after the first narration.

Urmila Matondkar’s time has been consumed primarily by her first major television stint - as a judge on reality show “Jhalak Dikhla Jaa” - which she seems to have enjoyed to the hilt.

“I see life in a different light,” Urmila told IANS in an interview.

“Very honestly I’m ecstatic about being able to be part of this show. I was facing the participants and audience for the first time.

There were no written lines, no cues, no second chances. Either it worked or it didn’t work for you.”

Sushmita Sen Falls Foul of Culture Police in Tamil Nadu

sushmita senChennai, Former Miss Universe and Bollywood actor Sushmita Sen is the latest star in the crosshairs of culture cops in Tamil Nadu.

The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court has issued a notice to the actor on a petition that termed her comments propagated through newspapers and television “lewd”.

Lawyer Girish Kumar, in his petition, said the Tamil newspapers had quoted the actress in a television interview saying: “No Indian has chastity or virginity any more. Having pre-marital or post-marital affair(s) is nothing wrong in the society nowadays.”

He sought to prosecute the actress under IPC Sections 292, 292B, 293 and 294, (all pertaining to obscenity in print, words and songs), 499 and 500 (which relate to defamation), besides Sections 3, 4 of the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act and 2, 3 and 6 of the Young Persons Harmful Publication Act.

Aamir Khan Decline Madame Tussaud Offer

While many celebrities would kill to be in Madame Tussaud’s hall of fame, Aamir Khan has declined the offer from London, it emerged.

It had always baffled their fellow countrymen why Aamir, 42, despite his status as one of Bollywood’s most talented and best-loved actors, was overlooked by the renowned wax museum to be featured among its ranks of world-famous showbiz glitterati.

Finally, the mystery is solved. Aamir recently revealed that he had been approached by the museum authorities but he politely turned it down because he just was not interested.

But, for some reason, many Japanese, far too many Japanese see ending their own life as the only option.

Japan’s “Never Give Up” girl, Sakai Izumi, apparently gave up, called it quits, threw in the towel.

Police are saying - “She’s supposed to have died by falling over a rail around a slope and hitting the ground.

There are traces of her presence on the safety rail.

Hady Mirza Won Asian Idol

hady mirza hadiFANS in Indonesia, the Philippines and Malaysia were still reeling from how Singapore’s Hady Mirza had trumped their respective vocal Goliaths, namely Mike Mohede, Mau Marcelo and Jaclyn Victor.

The trio were the hot favourites for the Asian Idol title, with Hady, Vietnam’s Phuong Vy and India’s Abhijeet Sawant trailing behind.

Host country Indonesia’s entertainment reporters, for one thing, had tipped their countryman Mohede as the frontrunner.

One of them, Eny Kartikawati, wrote on the Detikhot news portal that Hady’s win disappointed three of the show’s six judges, namely Indonesia’s Indra Lesmana, Malaysia’s Paul Moss and Vietnam’s Siu Black. All had pronounced Mohede the far better performer during Sunday’s show.

Daniel Wu Learns Drug Abuse Through Films He Acted

daniel wuFilming a movie that revolves around drugs has affected Daniel Wu in many ways.

“Working on this movie, I learned how drugs and drug addiction are not only damaging to the user, but to those around him and society as a whole.

You can see through this film that drugs can affect all levels of society in very adverse ways,” he said in an e-mail interview.

Wu portrays undercover narcotics agent Nick, who plays protégé to a key player in the heroin trade and is forced to become a drug trafficker.

“This was a very difficult role to play because he is a very lonely character. Although he has people around him all the time, he can only trust and rely on himself.”
