Following up on the recent news that Nakamaru Yuichi will be the first KAT-TUN member to do a solo stage show, it has now been announced that Ueda Tatsuya will be the first to hold a solo concert.

The show will take place in September at the specially constructed Johnnys Theater in Aomi, Tokyo.

That venue is also being used for the major Johnny’s Jimusho show “SUMMARY” in August.

Ueda Tatsuya is currently scheduled to perform a total of 13 songs across various genres, such as rock, dance, ballad, and folk.

He wrote and composed the songs himself.

Watanabe Kensaku’s movie “Fure Fure Shojo” will have its theme song provided by the hit band Aqua Timez.

The song is a ballad titled “Natsu no Kakera.”

“Fure Fure Shojo” was announced back in March, with Aragaki Yui starring as a high schooler who takes on the burden of leading an ouendan to cheer on the boy she loves.

The single is set to go on sale on October 1st and the movie will open later that month, but a ringtone for the song is already available.

Trailers for the film begin running in theaters this weekend.

Veteran actor Watanabe Ken is taking on the role of movie director.

In an interview with Sports Nippon, he said he is currently working on the script, though the plot details and even the genre are still being kept secret.

He commented that he has various acting gigs for the rest of this year, so he won’t be able to devote himself to directing until 2009.

While working on the 2006 movie “Letters From Iwo Jima” (directed by Clint Eastwood), Watanabe Ken had mentioned that he had become interested in directing.

That year, he also gained experience behind the scenes as the executive producer for “Memories of Tomorrow,” which he starred in.

Kasai Tomomi of AKB48 has her first voice acting job in this summer’s anime version of Fumi Yoshinaga’s “Antique” manga.

Also known by the title “Antique Bakery,” the comic focuses on a group of four men who run a bakery.

Kasai Tomomi will be a minor character, playing the daughter of Chikage Kobayakawa, one of the men running the shop.

The series starts on Fuji TV on July 3.

Kasai Tomomi is part of Akihabara48 Team K and one of the members of the subgroup ICE from AKB48.

In September, WOWOW is broadcasting a drama special called “6 Jikango ni Kimi wa Shinu.” The suspense story is based on a novel of the same name by author Takano Kazuaki.

Takano Kazuaki himself created the drama’s screenplay, and also participated as co-director.

Tsukamoto Takashi stars as a young man with the power to predict unusual events in people’s futures.

One day, he comes across a woman ( Maki Yoko ) and foresees her imminent death. The drama follows the pair as they attempt to change the woman’s fate.

Nam Sang Mi (Sweet Spy) will portray a country girl named Kim Jin Soo who trails the protagonist in the hopes of becoming a food columnist.

Lee Dong Gun (28) wants to get married as soon as possible, even before he enlists for military service, which he says to be sometime next year.

The When Night Comes actor reveals: “After recently experiencing an unfortunate incident, I wanted to get married as soon as possible.

I’ll be going for military service around next year and I want to get married before then.”

The “unfortunate incident” he is talking about is the untimely death of his younger brother in Sydney in March this year.

Another Big Bang member who branched out on a solo project - Taeyang - went the hip hop/R&B route, but Daesung decided to stay true to his Korean roots by going trot.

YG Entertainment’s head honcho Yang Hyun-seok said that he was skeptical when Daesung decided to sing tacky songs trot, but changed his mind after hearing him sing.

The trot number entitled Look at Me, Gwisun or 날봐, 귀순 (hit the play button below at your own risk), is composed by talented Big Bang band member G-Dragon.

It is reported that Gummy, G-Dragon and S-Kush sang back-up for the track.

In a recent interview with Lee Byung Hun in the beautiful city of Prague (Czech), he confessed that he is lonely, misses his country Korea tremendously and prefers to be called by his Korean name.

Lee Byung Hun was interviewed at a Korean restaurant in downtown Prague.

He was in Prague shooting the final scenes for his Hollywood film and seemed extremely eager to return to Korea.

He has been away from Korea for the past year, and misses home.

Since July 2007, Lee Byung Hun has been in China, USA, Hong Kong and Prague filming one movie after another.
