Popular singer, Asmawi Ani (Mawi) was chosen to be the ambassador for TV3’s ‘Tabung Dapur Untuk Darfur’ to collect charity fund to help people in Darfur, Sudan.
“As an ambassador for this program, I will help and invite all fans to give some donations for all the people there,” - Mawi, when approached during the launching of Tabung Dapur Untuk Darfur in Putrajaya.
Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has launched the ceremony. The program that is planned to be lasting for a year will be produced by Dewan Pemuda Masjid Malaysia (Malaysia Mosque Youth Committee) and Sistem Televisyen Malaysia Berhad (TV3).
