Waris Jari Hantu bags 5 awards in FFM20 - 2007
GEORGETOWN: Waris Jari Hantu was the star of the 20th Malaysian Film Festival last night bagging five awards including Best Director for Shuhaimi Baba.
Other awards picked up by the movie included Best Original Story, Best Original Music Score, Best Supporting Actress ( Azean Irdawaty ) and Best Actor ( Rusdi Ramli ).
Another movie to pick up multiple awards was Cinta (Best Film, Best Screenplay, Best Editing and Best Supporting Actor ( Datuk Rahim Razali ). Vanida Imran walked away with the Best Actress award for her role in Red Kebaya.
The movie also picked up awards in the sound effects, costume and poster categories.
Tuaka Tebing Biru won two awards � Best Cinematography ( Khalid Zakaria ) and Best Art Direction ( Nazrul Ashraff ).

BTW, Yusry KRU and Maya Karin seems to be coming to FFM-20 fest together, maybe there is something going on between them, after all, they’re both single. Seems like Maya Karin didn’t went home empty handed that night after all!!
