Vietnam Miss Universe Pageant 2008 is a golden opportunity to advertise Vietnam’s people and tourism to the world.

The final contest will take place at the Diamond Bay Resort, Khanh Hoa province, Nha Trang city, with a nine-minute clip about Vietnam that will be televised live and on NBC channel for 2 hours beginning at 9 AM on 14th July 2008.

It will be watched by over 13 million viewers in the United States and by more than 1 billion viewers over 170 countries and territories, including Vietnam with its population of over 80 millions people.

Throughout this event, Vietnam will definitely send messages and images of Vietnam and its people to the world.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan turned the tough school master when he punished his close friends, actress Rani Mukherjee and director Karan Johar, on the reality game show “Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain”.

In the episode to be aired Saturday, Shah Rukh Khan, who plays host on the show, made both Rani Mukherjee and Karan Johar stand on their chairs for cheating from the audience for their very first question.

On the show, Rani Mukherjee revealed that she always wanted to make it big but was not sure of her direction.

Due to his love for wildlife conservation, actor John Abraham has agreed to produce a film on tigers along with environmentalist and filmmaker Mike Pandey, the duo announced at an awards function here.

“Mike has been the one person responsible for consolidating and motivating a lot of people towards wildlife conservation.

We would be making a film with four tiger cubs,” John told reporters.

The actor, who has appeared in films like “Water”, “Jism”, “Dhoom” and more recently “Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal”, was awarded an EcoWarrior award Thursday for his work towards creating India’s first elephant village in Maharashtra.

“Yoga keeps my mind, body and soul fit,” Shilpa Shetty said.

“I have a neck problem and suffered from chronic spondylitis. So I started practising yoga. I took professional training and it really benefits,” she added.

Bollywood newcomer Harman Baweja, who debuts in the much-hyped futuristic film “Love Story 2050″, was bowled over by Railway Minister Lalu Prasad’s wit when they met on the sets of “Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain”.

“He is the ultimate entertainer,” Harman told IANS after his interaction with the minister on the reality game show hosted by superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

Lalu was invited to the show along with Harman Baweja and Priyanka Chopra as guests for a special celebrity episode.

“When I saw him get together with Shah Rukh Khan, I realised what constitutes superstardom. It’s just a quality that you have or you don’t have,” Harman said.

When Harman Baweja came to know that Lalu Prasad was in the studio to record for the same show, he made it a point to meet and greet him.

Producer Sajid Nadiadwala has signed on Hollywood’s star-stuntman Spiro Razatos to make actor Akshay Kumar’s stunts extra special in his forthcoming film “Kambakht Ishq” even though it has come at an exorbitant price.

Spiro has displayed his action skills in blockbusters like “Vantage Point”, “Bad Boys 2″ and “21 Grams”.

He is also the man behind the pulsating stunts in two of the “Star Trek” series.

Although Nadiadwala refuses to divulge the price he has paid the stuntman, he said:

“He (Spiro) is worth it! ‘Kambhakt Ishq’ is not about stunts. It is about the life of a stuntman played by Akshay.

Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan is gearing up for his first world tour, saying he is looking forward to interacting with live audiences as this is more electric than just acting.

“The difference between acting in films and stage shows is that you interact with live audiences and the experience is more electric.

You get immediate reactions,” Abhishek, who is vigorously rehearsing for the tour, told IANS here.
