Su Ae Becomes a Cop for Miracle

park su aeAfter earning lots of accolades for her last movie, the Vietnam War film You’re Far Away [님은 먼 곳에], 28-year-old Su Ae is taking on a cop role for her next project.

The movie is The Miracle [기적] and will be directed by Han Hyun-seok (his previous work includes short film The Law of Reaction), and while Su Ae is cast in the lead role, the film is taking an omnibus format.

Su Ae’s character becomes a police officer because of her mother, who has searched all her life for her twin sister who was lost at a long age.

Because of her sister’s loss, Su Ae has never been able to receive the full love of her mother, who hasn’t given up hope of finding the missing girl.

Bae Seul Gi Speaks for ELLITA Cosmetics

Not much news about her since the much publicized / trashy rumors of her dating DBSK’s U-Know Yunho and Super Junior’s Siwon.

Her fans however, are still photoshopping her face next to Yunho’s and Siwon’s on wedding photos.

They’re also putting together slideshows entitled Yungi (Yunho + Seul Gi) or Sigi (Siwon + Seul Gi) onto youtube.

Bae Seul Gi like Beyonce says on the DirecTV commercial seemed to have upgraded a little when she teamed up with the cosmetics brand ELLITA recently.

In real life, Hyun Bin (26) is not the cocky prince charming he usually portrays.

Hyun Bin has won the hearts of many women in his previous KBS 2TV dramas, namely “My Lovely Samsoon”, “Snow Queen” and movie “A Millionaire’s First Love”.

The heartthrob is currently working on the KBS 2TV drama The World We Live In (scripwriter: No Hwee Kyeong, director: Pyo Min Su, Kim Kyu Tae).

Choi Jin Shil Still Mourned

choi jin shilForthy-nine days have passed since noted actress Choi Jin Shil took her own life.

In the 49th-day tribute for this ill-fated actress, her close friends and family members have gathered at her grave site to remember her life.

The ceremony was held in the morning of November 19th at the Gapsan Cemetery in Yangsuri, Gyeonggi Province with Choi’s mother and brother (actor/singer Choi Jin Young), and her closest friends comedienne Lee Young Ja and actress Shin Ae.

Notably absent was Choi Jin Shil’s ex-husband and former baseball star Cho Sung Min, who’s currently embroiled in a controversial custody battle with Choi’s family.

Solid BoA’s US Debut, to Perform Eat You Up on Youtube

boaBoA made her US debut with the digital single “Eat You Up,” garnering a positive response from the online community.

At 3 a.m. on October 22nd, “Eat You Up” ranked third on the iTunes chart for “Top Dance Songs,” tenth on Amazon’s “Hot New Release in MP3 Downloads” and 21st on their “Today’s Top MP3 Songs” chart.

Consumers gave “Eat You Up” a five-star review on the Amazon website.

According to BoA’s agents at SM Entertainment, US netizens commented that her song was addictive and makes people want to dance.

Even Variety, a US entertainment magazine, wrote an article about BoA and her debut, referring to her as “one of the best female artists in Asia.”

Song Hye Kyo, Hyun Bin Star in New KBS Drama Series

Popular Korean actress Song Hye Kyo will be returning to TV for the first time in four years.

During a recent interview, the actress, who was recently cast in the new KBS drama series “A World of Their Own,” said although she doesn’t give too much thought to viewer ratings, she is starting to feel the pressure as the first episode’s airing date draws near.

Song Hye Kyo added that her co-star Hyun Bin tried his best to calm down her nerves by telling her that there are good times and bad times and that she shouldn’t care too much about the viewer ratings.

Kim Tae Hee and younger brother Lee Wan (real name Kim Hyeong Su ) was at Seoul’s Gangnam Coex mall, at the VIP preview of Lee Wan’s new movie “Boys Don’t Cry” (소년은 울지 않는다).The movie is set during the 1953 Korean war and tells the story of two boys who fight to survive.

Lee Wan and Song Chang Ee play Jong-du and Tae-ho in the movie.

Actress Han Chae Young Cast in Boys over Flowers

han chae youngActress Han Chae Young has been cast in KBS 2TV’s brand new drama series “Boys over Flowers” as Min Seo Hyeon, the first love of Yoon Ji Hoo, who will be played by SS501 member Kim Hyeon Jung.

Her character Min is a beautiful, intelligent and world-famous model who is studying at a law school in Paris.

Although she is the only daughter of a family who owns Korea’s largest law firm, she gives up her privileges and paves her own path to success.

Some of Korea’s most popular younger-generation actors, including Lee Min Ho, Kim Hyun Jung, Kim Beom, Kim Joon and Ku Hye Seon have been cast as the leading roles in “Boys over Flowers,” which will begin airing in late December on KBS 2TV.

The drama series is based on the phenomenally popular Japanese comic book series of the same title.
