Vietnam Miss Universe Pageant 2008 is a golden opportunity to advertise Vietnam’s people and tourism to the world.
The final contest will take place at the Diamond Bay Resort, Khanh Hoa province, Nha Trang city, with a nine-minute clip about Vietnam that will be televised live and on NBC channel for 2 hours beginning at 9 AM on 14th July 2008.
It will be watched by over 13 million viewers in the United States and by more than 1 billion viewers over 170 countries and territories, including Vietnam with its population of over 80 millions people.
Throughout this event, Vietnam will definitely send messages and images of Vietnam and its people to the world.

If you don’t already know, Arirang TV’s popular music program Pops in Seoul is heading to Manila, the Philippines in celebration of its 1,000th episode.
In our earlier reports, we stated that Min Kyung Hoon of rock band Buzz will be the guest singer at the event. That’s not the case anymore.
The update we received announces that Evan a.k.a Yoo Ho Suk, who is formerly of Click B, will be replacing Min Kyung Hoon.
Both VJ Isak and Evan will appear at the Manila Film Center at 3pm on July 5. Admission is FREE.

Showbiz princess and hot young actress KC Concepcion is now a recording artist as well–not surprising since her mom, Sharon “The Megastar” Cuneta is a singer whose hits have become Filipino pop classics.
Fans will recall that Sharon started out in showbusiness as a singer, with her song “Mr. DJ” becoming a huge hit when she was only 15 years old.
Now it’s KC’s turn at the mic. In an exclusive interview with abs-cbnNEWS.com KC Concepcion said that singing comes naturally for her and is definitely one of her passions.
“And if anything siguro parang it’s something na gusto ko every year ay may album ako. Kasi gusto ko ‘yun ‘yung mag-reflect ng kung ano yung pinagdadaanan ko at that time na na-release siya,” she said.

During the second Star Magic Ball held at the Isla Ballroom of the Edsa Shangri-La Hotel in Mandaluyong last June 29, the celebrity couple were spotted constantly holding hands under the table throughout the program that night.
“From the moment they walked down the red carpet until the program proper, they were already very touchy-feely. They’re obviously very smitten with each other,” an observer says.

YOUNG actress KC Concepcion ( Maria Kristina Cassandra Cuneta Concepcion ) raised hunger-awareness program thru Walk The World With Us, an organization dedicated to feeding millions ”59 million to be more specific” of schoolchildren from around the world.
KC Concepcion woke up earlier than usual last Sunday to attend the Walk the World With Us event that was held from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.
She joined the event to personally raise funds for a global school-feeding program for 10,000 school children in Mindanao.
It was a symbolic walk for KC Concepcion and the other people who joined the walk, including Maricel Laxa, Sen. Kiko Pangilinan and Bubbles Paraiso.
It was a 3.5 km. walk from Serendra in The Fort and back.

The Popstar Princess, fresh from a highly-successful concert tours in the US and Canada, stayed behind in Los Angeles to do the vocals for a duet with Backstreet Boy Howie Dorough.
The duet, titled “I’ll Be There” and produced by Christian de Walden, will be part of Sarah’s latest CD to be released in July her birth month.

Philippines ABS-CBN has the franchise for the Mexican soap “Betty La Fea” and television director, Wenn Deramas has confirmed that actress Bea Alonzo will play the lead role for the Philippine version.
The said adaptation has no confirmed official title yet but it is about an intelligent but plain girl working in the glamorous world of fashion.
American television has it’s own version of this soap which is entitled Ugly Betty.
Deramas will be directing this series and another series entitled “Dyosa” played by Anne Curtis, all to be shown in ABS-CBN in the latter part of 2008.

With preparations underway for her second fantaserye in July entitled Dyosa, Anne Curtis is more than ready to play the role she’s always wanted.
“Ever since I was 12, I’ve always wanted to be a mermaid. This is a dream come true for me and that’s why I’m so happy.
It’s really something that I’ve always wanted to do and I’ve finally been given the opportunity,” she admits.
