South Korea’s hopeful at the Miss Universe beauty pageant in Nha Trang, Vietnam was down with food poisoning on July 6!
Miss Korea Universe Sun Lee informed her coach Ines Ligron, who arrived in Vietnam on July 7, that she was “terribly sick and felt that she would die.”
The doctor was called to Sun Lee’s room and the 25-year-old Korean beauty was advised to get a lot of rest.
Also on Monday, Sun Lee mustered up enough energy to attend an interview with the preliminary judges.
Ines Ligron wrote at her blog: “She ( Sun Lee ) was happy with her interview outcome and she feels confident that she did a good job.”

SM Entertainment says five-member group
TVXQ attracted some 390,000 audience members during their 16-month tour around Asia.
TVXQ’s Asian tour began in February, 2007, after it swept the 2006 year-end awards ceremony in 2006.
Over the 16-month period, the group performed in six Asian cities including Seoul, Taipei, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai and Beijing, attracting a total of 390,000 audience members along the way.

“MW,” a manga by famed artist Tezuka Osamu, is being turned into a live-action film, starring actor Tamaki Hiroshi.
Taking the director’s seat is Iwamoto Hitoshi, known for several popular television dramas.
The comic originally ran in Shogakukan’s Big Comic from 1976 to 1978.
The story revolves around MW, a poisonous gas developed as a chemical weapon by foreign military forces.
After an accidental leak on an isolated island, the military covers up the incident by exterminating all of the island’s inhabitants.

The group Big Bang has successfully wrapped up a concert tour in Korea, Thailand and Japan.
The group’s management agency, YG Entertainment, said Big Bang’s ‘Global Warning Tour’ at the Huamark Indoor Stadium in Thailand on June 7 was a great success.
The agency said although it was the group’s first-ever concert in Thailand, some ten thousand fans flocked to see their favorite Korean male band and gave the members a standing ovation right from the start of the concert.

Thailand will host the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards in June in an effort to boost tourism and business between the two countries, media reports said Wednesday.
The Bollywood in Bangkok event will kick off June 6 with the premier of the new Indian movie “Sakar Raj” at Bangkok’s posh Siam Paragon theatre, and end with the presentation of IIFA awards on the night of June 8, said the Bangkok Post newspaper.
The so-called “IIFA Weekend Bangkok” will be co-sponsored by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Dusit Thani Hotel group, Siam Niramit Company, Indorama Group and the Bangkok Post.
The event is expected to draw Bollywood movie fans to Bangkok from around the region and hopefully generate more bilateral business between the two countries which have already signed a Foreign Trade Agreement (FTA).

Nakayama Miho will return to acting in a movie based on her husband’s work.
She married Akutagawa Prize-winning author Hitonari Tsuji in 2002 and last appeared in the drama series “Home & Away” before she and Tsuji permanently moved to Paris.
This will be her first appearance in a movie since 1997.
Her comeback role is in “Sayonara Itsuka,” based on Tsuji’s 2001 novel of the same name.
