Tid Bids on Minami Akina
Minami Akina (南明奈 あきないあきな) is a pretty 18 year old fashion and gravure model from Kanagawa prefecture.
Minami Akina was picked up by Oscar talent agency when she was 12 years old and made her debut as a fashion model when she was 14.
She became a regular model on teen magazines Hana★chu→ and Cawaii! and by 2006 she had became famous for her appearance on a morning news show Mezamashi TV.
Minami Akina also started her activity as a gravure idol appearing in “Sabra” (Jan 2006) and “BOMB” (Feb 2006) and has starred 5 DVDs and 4 photo books that became big hits with the otaku crowd.
Earlier this year, she was reportedly dumped by her agency for having an affair with her manager who started a rival agency though no one seems to know if this was the truth or just a rumor spread by her ex agency.
In any case, this has not affected Akina’s popularity and she continues to sell more DVDs and get TV commercial endorsements.
