Zhang Ziyi Visited Sabah Orangutans & Orphanage
Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi is seen in a recent photo playing with orangutans in Sabah, Malaysia.
The actress was there to raise awareness for the protection of this highly-endangered species.
Besides focusing on her soaring career, Zhang Ziyi has been building herself up as a pro-charity public persona.
She was seen last week in Chengdu, southwestern China, fundraising for orphaned local children in a local charity program.
The fundraising scheme, created to assist local orphaned children, was jointly launched by Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts and its charity partner - the Beijing-based “Care for Children,” when Shangri-La opened a new hotel in Chengdu on Monday.
Zhang Ziyi, the “public face” of Shangri-La, also visited an orphaned child and his adoptive family.
