Erra Fazira & Engku Emran Set To Tie The Knot
PETALING JAYA: After weeks of speculation tinged with the intrigue of a love triangle, celebrity couple Erra Fazira and Engku Emran Engku Zainal Abidin are set to tie the knot.
Their engagement has been fixed for Sept 7 while the wedding is scheduled to take place in the third week of October, after Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
The two have been reportedly seeing each other for the last two months and their courtship has received the approval from both their families.
This will be the second marriage for the former Miss Malaysia, whose real name is Wan Fazira Wan Chek, and the first for Engku Emran.
Erra married her Mr Cinderella co-star, actor-director and popular KRU member Yusry Abdul Halim, in a lavish wedding ceremony in 2003.
They divorced in June last year.
This time around, however, word has it that the wedding will be a modest affair.
But other sources told mStar, the Malay news portal of The Star, that it would be a “memorable event.”
“There is an exquisite dais planned for the engagement, with elaborate hantaran (bridal gifts) which cannot be revealed yet,” said an insider.
The engagement will be held at Erra’s home in Kampung Sungai Choh in Rawang, near here.
Engku Emran was tight-lipped about the engagement and wedding dates, saying he would make an announcement “when the time is right.”
The 32-year-old chief operating officer of radio station Suria FM, however, did not deny the news.
“When the time is right, I will let you know. Right now I don’t want to elaborate,” he said.
“After all, kita merancang, Tuhan menentukan … (man proposes but God disposes),” he added.
The couple’s whirlwind romance made headlines and started weeks of controversy when Erra’s ex-boyfriend, actor Hans Isaac, “challenged” the actress to prove that they were not “an item.”

I am very happy for the two especially to my dearest idol Erra Fazira. I hope and pray their wish will come true. Whatever gossips spreading for the previous months regarding the love triangle of erra, engku emran and hanz, well that’s life, after all, they are only human being and no human being is perfect.
I did asked engku emran last June when their group (Suria FM) including my idol erra visit kota kinabalu, Sabah. Their group composed of more than 15 artists, they lunch at secret ricipe and we were there waiting for to see and meet erra. Myself and friends were very happy to meet erra. She’s very pleasant, happy, humble and nice person. I believed she’s not what hans described her. If she had secret their relation, she definitely had reasons especially she had a bad experience and hans supposed to respect. Hans is not a good person for me, becuase he used erra to get popularity. If she truely love erra, she had to respect erra decision and not to spoil her by showing in public their photos. For me, hans is not a sporting boyfriend.
Dear friends, I hope you also understand erra as I understand her. We continue to support her and pray for her becuase she is a good humble idol.

Bosuon juga ko ni Nancy Johnius, ko pikir si Hans Issac guna Erra tuk cari famous? Hans lama suda famous, ko saja yg tdk tau, pasal ko tu ketinggalan zaman, and macam mana ko tau he is not a nice guy? Pasal ko pernah tidur sama dia ka? Budu juga ko ni. Pandai saja ko ckp no body is perfect, tapi ko ckp Hans not a nice guy tu, macam la bah ko kenal dia. Diam lah ko kalau ko tia kanal Hans ba, jgn la ko mau minta puji tulis english sini, sama juga tunggang terbalik english ko, bikin malu!!!
