Sony Dwi Kuncoro Wins Taiwan Open
World No 2, Sony Dwi Kuncoro from Indonesia has ended his no winning streak for two years by beating his countrymen Taufik Hidayat in the finals of Taiwan Open in Taipei yesterday.
Sony Dwi Kuncoro who lost to Lee Chong Wei last week in Japan Open and to Lin Dan in World Championship last month, beats Taufik Hidayat 18-21, 21-6,21-13 to win the male single in the finals.
Indonesia also conquering two more competition, which is men doubles (Markis Kido - Hendra Setiawan) and mix doubles (Flandi Limpele - Vita Marissa).
The world No.3, Markis Kido - Hendra Setiawan beats Lars Paaske - Jonas Rasmussen 21-17, 21-12. While Flandi Limpele - Vita Marissa beats Thomas Laybourn - Kamilla Rytter Juhl 21-18, 25-23.
Women doubles won by Taipei, Chien Yu Chin - Cheng Wen Hsing who beats Lilyana Natsir - Vita Marissa 21-15, 17-21, 21-18.
Women singles won by Hong Kong, Wang Chen who beats French, Pi Hongyan, 21-18, 14-21, 26-24.
