gsc golden screen cinema For the fourth consecutive year, the annual Japanese Film Festival will be back to grace the GSC International Screens at GSC Mid Valley, Kuala Lumpur, and GSC 1 Utama (New Wing), Petaling Jaya, from Aug 23- 27.

It will then move north to GSC Gurney Plaza, Penang, and run from Aug 31-Sept 2.

This time around, eight movies will be showcased at the participating cinemas, with tickets costing only RM5 each.

The films to be shown are:
# Yoji Yamada’s Love and Honour (which completes his award-winning samurai trilogy after Twilight Samurai and the The Hidden Blade);
# Masayuki Ochiai’s horror film Infection;
# Yamashita Nobuhiro’s Linda Linda Linda;
# Ogata Akira’s The Milkwoman;
# Kore-Eda Hirokazu’s Hana;
# Izutsu Kazuyuki’s We Shall Overcome; and
# Ogigami Naoko’s Yoshino’s Barber Shop and Kamome Diner.

Moviegoers can purchase tickets to the Japanese Film Festival 2007 in the Klang Valley via GSC e-payment facilities and through GSC box offices. Bookings will also be available through www.gsc.com.my two days before the screening date. The Japanese Film Festival 2007 is a joint venture of the Japanese Foundation Kuala Lumpur, Golden Screen Cinemas Sdn Bhd, the Consulate-General of Japan (Penang) and the Japan Club of Kuala Lumpur.
