Singapore’s top comedian and MediaCorp award-winning artiste Gurmit Singh has bagged yet another highest honour.

In the recently released Golden Horse Awards nominations list – the most prestigious awards for Chinese films.

Gurmit, who is noted for his portrayal of contractor Phua Chu Kang, has been nominated in the best actor category for his role in Just Follow Law by director Jack Neo.

Gurmit is the first Singaporean actor to be nominated in this highly coveted category.

Also vying for the same award in this category are Hong Kong stars Tony Leung Chiu Wai ( Lust, Caution ) and Aaron Kwok Fu Seng ( The Detective ) and China’s Zhao Ben Shan ( Getting Home ).
