Kang Hye Jung Cast in American Film, Wedding Palace
Actress Kang Hye Jung has been cast in an American film entitled “Wedding Palace.”
Kang Hye Jung’s management agency YG Entertainment said Kang has been cast in the film to be directed by Korean-American film director Christine Yoo.
The romantic comedy is about the life of a couple from two different cultural backgrounds who meet in Los Angeles and get married.
Korean-American actor Brian Tee, who appeared in “Fast and the Furious,” will also star.
The film will be produced by TU Productions, jointly founded by Yoo and Tee.
YG Entertainment said Yoo decided to cast the Korean actress after watching “Welcome to Dongmakgol” and “Old Boy,” two acclaimed Korean films starring Kang Hye Jung.
Yoo said Kang’s distinctly Korean beauty grabbed her attention.
The film shoot will begin in LA late September. Most of the scenes will be shot in the United States and some of it will be filmed in Korea.

Kang Hye Jung will be playing the role of Na Hana in ‘I Came in Search of a Flower’ that is to air on May 14th. Na Hana is the daughter of an undertaker who has become apathetic to death and opens her eyes to the emotions of love and pain after meeting Yoon Ho Sang played by Cha Tae Hyun.
