Nasir has spent more than a year to find a heroin for a movie that he’s going to direct called Aduh Saliha. Saliha’s role will be given to Puteri Sarah Liyana, 22, which is more fond to be called Sarah. She will be acting along with our Raja SMS, Mawi (Asmawi Ani) who will brought the role of hero in the film.

According to M. Nasir, Sarah has her own charms that other women doesn’t have. That charm is the main thing that M. Nasir has been searching for.

“When I look at her face, I can feel that she has the quality and fulfill the criteria to take Saliha’s role, a young village girl. Furthermore, I think that Sarah can work well with Mawi,” - M. Nasir during intro of Saliha today.

M. Nasir also added that, Sarah has already have the main skill of acting and would make it easier for him to develop that actress. Aduh Saliha is produced by The Cameracrew Productions Sdn. Bhd. (TCPSB), second film that will be directed by M. Nasir after film ‘Merah’.

Script of the film is written by M. Nasir together with Loloq. Shooting will be started at the end of this August in Sabah. This musical genre film will cost around RM1.5 million will be the first film to be starred by Sarah and Mawi.

Sarah had previously acted in some drama such as ‘Kawan’, ‘Dunia Anita’ and ‘Puteri’ and she also starred in several advertisements such as ‘Silky Girl’, ‘DiGi’, ‘F&N’ and ‘Nivea’. For this University Teknologi MARA (UiTM) diploma of hotel management student, the announcement of her going to take Saliha’s role is beyond her imagination.

“While in the audition, it never been crossed my mind to be chosen as Saliha”

“When the production house called me to come to the office, I thought I will only be given a minor role. I never thought that I will be starring side by side with Mawi” - Sarah.

The actress received the good news while she’s having a holiday in Bandung with her family. Sarah said, she’s have made her mind to any possibilities that might come when she stars the movie side by side with Mawi (marrying???). Aduh Saliha is about a man named Man (starred by Mawi) who is trapped in a fairy (bunian) world.

M. Nasir also added that Sarah is the most suit for the role of Saliha because she has all Malay values.

“I don’t care whoever will be starring with me in Aduh Saliha. For me, Sarah has her own criteria that makes her chosen as Saliha.”

“Whatever it is, I will try to do my best since this is my first movie” - Mawi.

Other than Mawi and Sarah, other actor and actresses in Aduh Saliha will be Erra Fazira, Nasir Bilal Khan, Noniswara, Ebby Yus, Que Haidar, Zulhuzaimy, Felix and Yasmin Isa.
