After earning lots of accolades for her last movie, the Vietnam War film You’re Far Away [님은 먼 곳에], 28-year-old Su Ae is taking on a cop role for her next project.

The movie is The Miracle [기적] and will be directed by Han Hyun-seok (his previous work includes short film The Law of Reaction), and while Su Ae is cast in the lead role, the film is taking an omnibus format.

Su Ae’s character becomes a police officer because of her mother, who has searched all her life for her twin sister who was lost at a long age.

Because of her sister’s loss, Su Ae has never been able to receive the full love of her mother, who hasn’t given up hope of finding the missing girl.

The story intertwines with a fearless gangster who discovers he has cancer and suddenly wonders at the meaning of life, and a doctor who works tirelessly to revive his wife out of her vegetative state but neglects his daughter.

The omnibus film has become rather commonplace.
