Gwen Stefani Phenomenon In Kuala Lumpur
KUALA LUMPUR: Thousands of Gwen Stefani fans went wild at the Putra Indoor Stadium in Bukit Jalil here last night as their platinum blond idol brought the roof down with a string of hits.
The songs were all from her two solo albums – Love, Angel, Music, Baby and The Sweet Escape.
The crowd sang and danced along to Wind it Up, What You Waiting For, Rich Girl, The Sweet Escape, 4 in the Morning and Wonderful Life, among many others.
Adding to magic of the evening were Stefani’s four Harajuku Girls who pumped up the already dynamic concert by a few notches with their dance moves.
Stefani, the former lead singer of No Doubt, played by the rules last night – her “modified” costumes were not revealing.
The singer, however, was her usual dynamic self and at one point, she went round to the back of the stadium where many of her fans were and sang Cool in the midst of the crowd.
Judging from the response from her audience, they were thrilled.
