King of SMS (Raja SMS) is not nominated for the category of Best Male Vocal in Anugerah Era 2007 (AE07) finals, which was announced yesterday. What is more shocking is Mawi has been defeated with later artist like Akhil Hayy, Diddy, Faizal AF4 and Yazer AF3. Only M. Nasir the only senior artist in that category.

During AE06, Mawi has taken a lot of awards such as Best Male Vocal. To be out from the nomination from that category would be giving a lot of question marks. However audience should accept the result because the selection was done through votes and through Era web page. Furthermore, the result was audited by Price Waterhouse Cooper.

“I accept it with open minded. I couldn’t say anything about it because audience is the one who judge it through vote. I will accept other 5 nominees that audience had selected. Sincerely I say, I’m not dissapointed a bit for that results,” - Mawi.

In doubt about his popularity is going to an end, Mawi continued with:

“If I’m not selected in that category, people might say that I’m becoming not popular, I couldn’t say anything about that. However, I will always ready with what the future will bring. We couldn’t be staying on top forever.”

However, Mawi is still nominated as nominee in Duo Vocal/Group, Nasyid Song, Pop Song and Music Video. Anugerah Era 07 (AE07) which took the concept of trend and tradition will be held in Arena of Stars, Genting Highlands on 8th September 2007. Among other artist that’s going to perform that night are Anuar Zain, Hattan, Jinbara and groups from abroad, Kerispatih. AE07 will be aired live telecast through Astro Ria and Era radio station at 9:00 pm.
