Bae Yong Joon Lends Voice to Winter Sonata Animation
Apparently, Hallyu actor Bae Yong Joon will not just settle for the strong ajumma fan base in Japan, and is taking his starpower to the Japanese kids as well.
Now watching Winter Sonata can be a family affair – it’s an activity Mom and kids (and maybe Dad?) will enjoy.
The 36-year-old star is set to lend his voice to the animated version of the popular drama series, which is being jointly produced by Bae Yong Joon’s Keyeast Inc. and Japan’s Total Promotion Company.
The animated Winter Sonata is being made for both the small and big screens! A preview of the series as well as a video message from Bae Yong Joon will be screened during a press conference in Tokyo on March 28.
Winter Sonata, which stars Bae Yong Joon and Choi Ji Woo, aired in 2002 on the KBS network. It became such a phenomenal hit that the drama even boosted tourism to Korea, as there are many tour packages to visit the location where the drama was filmed.
