Actress Matsu Takako is joining the cast of NHK’s drama project “Saka no Ue no Kumo,” which began filming in November.

Matsu Takako will play the wife of Yoshifuru Akiyama, played by Abe Hiroshi.

Last month, Matsu Takako wedded musician Sahashi Yoshiyuki, while Abe Hiroshi announced his own pending marriage in November.

The drama’s main cast includes Motoki Masahiro, Kagawa Teruyuki, and Ozawa Yukiyoshi. Kanno Miho, Ito Shiro, and Takeshita Keiko also appear in the drama.

“Saka no Ue no Kumo” will air in three parts over three years, starting in the fall of 2009.
